Coral Bay Western Australia is a stunning destination for family travelers or individuals alike that want to experience something completely unique, distinct and memorable. Here are four great reasons why you should visit Coral Bay Western Australia on your Campervan Self Drive Holiday.

Aussie Campervan Rental Tips

Aussie Campervan RentalCampervan rental offers you a fun and affordable way to experience Australia. Many of our customers find the experience addictive… and often come back for more! Although we won’t say renting a campervan is a ‘cheap’ holiday, it is certainly more affordable than staying hotels/motels for the duration of your trip. Here are a couple tips we’ve put together to help you get more value out of your campervan rental:

  • Dining – mix it up. We recommend mixing up your dining choices. Don’t eat out all the time; likewise, don’t cook everything yourself. Instead aim to cook most meals yourself using the facilities in your campervan, but do budget for 2-3 take away or dine-out meals each week of your trip. This gives you a chance to relax and not worry about visiting the grocery store.
  • Take advantage of camp ground activities. During your trip you will probably spend a few nights in a paid camping ground. Depending on where you’re staying, you will have a variety of activities available to you. If you stay in a modern holiday village, you may have access to a swimming pool, tennis court or games room. If you stay in a government-owned bush camp, you will probably find dedicated walking trails nearby and areas where you can light your own campfire. Rather than rushing around in an attempt to visit every local tourist attraction, we recommend scheduling some ‘down time’. Enjoy the facilities already at your fingertips. You’ll save money and you’ll enjoy the experience.

The best thing about a driving holiday is it is fantastically flexible. Our customers often find a place they adore and stay a little longer – just because they can. The longer you spend on holiday, the more accustomed you’ll become to the relaxed, carefree life that Aussie camper rental offers you.

Sounds good doesn’t it? If you’d like to join the long list of happy customers who enjoy our Aussie campervan rental, give us a call today. Our friendly staff are ready to answer your questions and help you plan an amazing Aussie driving holiday. Talk soon!

4WD Rental gets to perfect beach spots

4WD Rental gets to perfect beach spots

Are you thinking about renting a campervan or 4WD, but not sure if you’ll like it? If you’ve never gone camping, or hired a campervan before, it can be difficult to take the plunge.

No doubt you’ve got a few (or many!) questions. Perhaps the most common question we hear is…

What is it Like to Take a Campervan Driving Holiday?

The best way to answer this question is to read through our customers’ comments and reviews. Every customer tells us about their wonderful journey – and that

they’re glad they chose to rent camper. Here are just some of the things our customers enjoy:

  • Stopping on the beach for dinner… and being able to cook, eat and enjoy the sunset with complete supplies on board the camper.
  • The freedom to stopover anywhere at all.
  • Great opportunities to meet local people.
  • No restrictive schedules. No hotel bookings to rush off too.
  • A relaxed and enjoyable journey.

Are You Traveling to Australia from Overseas?

It’s often intimidating to book a rental vehicle when you can’t see it “in the flesh”. If you’re at all worried, we encourage you to take comfort in our many positive testimonials and reviews. Take this one for example:

We arranged this vehicle before leaving the UK and
found everyone we e-mailed and spoke to extremely
helpful and friendly. When we arrived in Perth
and collected our vehicle everything was exactly
as promised and the service was fantastic. They
supplied loads of equipment with the Camper and
we loved the roof tent. We had such an incredible
time in Australia ( What a truly wonderful Country )
and having the land-cruiser camper made our visit
complete. I have only praise for Campabout Oz.
They are a small but incredibly friendly and helpful
hire company who looked after us very well. We could
not fault a single thing , so my honest advice if
you are looking for a Camper to hire in Perth is:
"use Campabout Oz". Hope this review helps

As you read all the reviews, you’ll notice people travel from all over the world, often booking their campervan months in advance. When they arrive in Perth, they’re pleased to see an awesome campervan or 4WD – clean, modern and completely fitted out with camping gear. Our campervans are everything you see on the website and more. In fact, we believe the photos don’t do them justice. They’re better in real life. 😉

Book Your Aussie Holiday

We’d loving nothing more than to give you the experience of a lifetime on a Western Australian driving holiday! If you’re not quite sure what vehicle to choose, just ask. Our staff will answer all your questions and even recommend the right campervan, 4WD or camping trailer for your holiday.

That’s all for now. Hope to hear from you soon!

Monkey Mia – Campervan Rental Top Spot

Campervan Rental trip to Monkey Mia

Take a campervan to Monkey MiaMonkey Mia 24 by Kutschi

After receiving this great review from Mary and David, we decided to write a bit about one of our customers’ favourite destinations – Money Mia. First, here’s the review:

We hired the campervan for 15 days in May to explore
the coast from Perth to Monkey Mia. The van was very
clean and well equiped.Terry was very helpful and easy
to deal with. We had a great time and it was fun. Highly
recommended.

Dolphin Feeding and Other Monkey Mia Activities

Monkey Mia is of course most famous for the public Dolphin feeding sessions. The sessions usually attract a large group of people, but you might be lucky enough to be selected to feed them! It’s typical for eight or more dolphins to visit Dolphin beach for the feeding session each day.

Apart from the dolphins, there are heaps of things to do in Monkey Mia, including swimming, fishing and snorkeling. Click here for information about things to do in Monkey Mia.

The fishing also comes highly recommended. Although you’re not allowed to fish from the jetty, there are plenty of fishing spots in the wider Shark Bay area and we’re told you’ll catch  Tailor, Whiting, Tarwhine and if you’re lucky maybe a Mulloway or two!

Experience Monkey Mia and Shark Bay with Campervan Rental

Monkey Mia is located in Shark Bay – about 850 km north of Perth – a drive you’re sure to enjoy in one of our rental campervans! If you’re in a hurry, you can do the drive from Perth in one or two days. Or, you can take inspiration from Mary and David and take your time to explore the coast for a few weeks.

Whether you’re a tourist from overseas, or an Aussie who has never been to feed the Monkey Mia dolphins, campervan rental can give you an amazing holiday experience along the WA Coast up to Shark Bay. We encourage you to read our customer reviews discover where other travelers are going.

Give us a call, or use the website forms to book your campervan rental today. Take a look at the Long Wheel Based Campervan Rental – the same van Mary and David hired. Talk soon!

Bungle Bungles – 4WD Rental Top Spot

Bungle Bungles 4WD Rental

Experience the Bungle Bungles with 4WD Rental
Hiking through the Bungle Bungles by David Busch Aus

4WD rental from Campabout Oz is the perfect way to experience the magnificent Bungle Bungles in Western Australia.

Our four-wheel-drives allow you to drive right in.  You’ll gain access to areas other vehicles can’t get to, including serene outback camping areas.

The Bungle Bungles- Info

The Bungle Bungles is a stunning natural phenomenon of beehive-like limestone formations. Their unusual tiger stripe colouring comes from algae that grows and within the pores of the honeycombed rock. Their beautiful red/orange color results from a combination of manganese and iron that stains the rock.

The Bungle Bungles was originally home to Western Australia’s Aboriginal people, who lived their during the wet season. Being home to a wide selection of wild life and plant life, the area provided the perfect place to live. Until the mid 1980s, the area was relatively unknown to white man. This changed, however, when in 1987 it was named a national park. Much later, in 2003, the are gained worldwide recognition when it was inscribed into the World Heritage List.

Experience the Bungle Bungles with 4WD Rental

Whether you’re a tourist from overseas, or an Aussie who has never truly experienced the outback, you’ll get an amazing holiday experience with 4WD rental in the Bungle Bungles. Make a point of seeing these impressive rock formations at least once in your lifetime. Read our customer reviews and you’ll discover it’s a place worth seeing… so book your 4wd rental today.

4WD Rooftop Camper Rental

4WD Rooftop Camper Rental

A happy customer recently sent us this terrific photo of one of our rooftop campers in action. As you can see, our 4WD rental allows you to escape to secluded locations off the beaten track. And with the roof top tent, setting up camp couldn’t be easier.

Rooftop Camper Rental – Portable and Ready-to-Go

Customers often comment about how great it feels to travel light. With a roof top camper, there’s no need to tow a caravan or trailer. Everything is compact and lightweight. Easy setup allows to kick back and relax at the end of the day. Just as importantly, fast and easy pack down means you get going sooner. Who wants to spend hours rolling and packing tents? With a roof top camper, you don’t have to worry about wet tent floors or sweeping out sand.

Sleep Off the Ground

If you’re afraid of creepy crawlies, you’ll feel safer in a roof top tent.

  • You’ll be less likely to be plagued by ants and other ground creepers.
  • You’ll also be high and dry – which, despite the usual connotation, is a great thing to feel when you’re sleeping in the great outdoors! Even in warm weather, condensation can make normal tent floors damp and difficult to pack away. Renting a 4WD roof top camper avoids this problem.
  • You’ll enjoy a smooth sleeping surface without uncomfortable rocks, sticks or slopes to make sleeping impossible.

Traveling in a Group?

If you’re traveling with a group, you can choose to hire a rooftop camper 4WD together with a camping trailer. This gives you plenty of sleeping space and all the camping gear you need for a fantastic holiday.

Disadvantages?

Not many really! Probably the biggest disadvantage would be that you have no permanent camp site. In other words, you need to pack up your tent when you want to drive away for the day. If you’d rather leave everything set up for a few days, you might consider hiring a camper trailer with one of our 4WDs.

As you can see from the photo, rooftop camper rental is a wonderful way to experience Australia. If you’re keen to give it a go, give us a call or use the easy ‘quote’ form on this website to contact us today.

Best Campervan Rental – Reviews – From the shade of Kakadu

Hi Terry.

We had a fabulous celebration
when Our Toy-ota celebrated its
25,ooo km Anniversary earlier this week.

She had already enjoyed a restful, shady week in Broome,
and we treated her to a luxury sudsy all-over bubble-bath,
with her usual special face and chest wash
*she does LOVE collecting those bugs on her chest*
and she was as clean as a whistle
ready for the party in her honour.

Champage,
pate,
biscuits,
and a rousing chorus of "For She's a Jolly Good Camper Van".
(just kidding about that last bit!)

We are still enjoying our trip 100% + + +
thanks to you, Terry,
and your fantastic Camper Van Toy-ota.

Kind regards,

Maxine and Neil
